Glauco Di Lieto has danced in some of Italy's and Britain's most renowned ballet companies.
He has been teaching adult ballet classes for many years and has developed his own personal technique which focuses on maximising strength and minimising strain through correct alignment, awareness of weight and balance, effective breathing and complete coordination.
This downloadable class is only available from Dance Online.
The DVD includes 20 exercises. Barre exercises are executed to both sides and each exercise includes a full teacher's demonstration and Teacher's Notes with detailed advice about corrections and technique that ballet instructors will find invaluable.
This class is aimed at adult improvers, with some previous experience and a solid grasp of basic ballet technique. The exercises may also be used with younger ballet students at a teacher's discretion, though the pace and length of some exercises may need to be adjusted. The class is not suitable for complete beginners.
Though most of the class can be performed within a small space, there are some jump exercises that require larger spaces and a suitable dance floor. Care should be taken when performing the class within a home environment and you should always seek medical advice before undertaking strenuous physical exercise.
