Glauco Di Lieto has danced in some of Italy's and Britain's most renowned ballet companies.
He has been teaching adult ballet classes for many years and has developed his own personal technique which focuses on maximising strength and minimising strain through correct alignment, awareness of weight and balance, effective breathing and complete coordination.
This downloadable class is only available from Dance Online.
The Teacher's Edition includes 20 exercises. Barre exercises are executed to both sides and each exercise includes a full teacher's demonstration and Teacher's Notes with detailed advice about corrections and technique that ballet instructors will find invaluable.
This class is aimed at adult improvers, with some previous experience and a solid grasp of basic ballet technique. The exercises may also be used with younger ballet students at a teacher's discretion, though the pace and length of some exercises may need to be adjusted. The class is not suitable for complete beginners.
Though most of the class can be performed within a small space, there are some jump exercises that require larger spaces and a suitable dance floor. Care should be taken when performing the class within a home environment and you should always seek medical advice before undertaking strenuous physical exercise.
This is the downloadable version of the class. After purchase, we will send a download link to the email address you register at checkout, so please ensure that you register the correct address. You will receive a link to a compressed .zip file containing all exercises as separate high resolution .mp4 tracks. The .zip archive will need to be decompressed before the files can be played. Most modern PCs and Macs can open .zip files without the need for additional software, but should you have any problems opening your downloaded files, please install a free archive utility such as Zipeg.
* Windows PCs by default can only play .mp4 files through third-party applications such as Videolan or Winamp. If you wish to play the files in Media Player, you will first need to install an .mp4 codec pack. Please follow this link to download a codec pack that will add .mp4 functionality to Media Player.
The .zip folder will also contain some playlists that can be used in Windows Media Player to play the whole class with or without teacher's demonstration (Demo and Workout Mode). The playlists will only work if all files are extracted and stored in the same folder on your computer.
** Apple Mac computers can play .mp4 files through Quicktime and iTunes. The playlists included with this product are designed for Media Player and will not work in iTunes. If you wish to create your own playlist in iTunes, please choose the option "New Playlist", drag the files into the playlist tab, reorder them as needed and click on "Done".
The Teacher's Edition will have an additional link to a separate .zip download containing the Teacher's Notes and two playlists allowing you to watch the whole class including notes in sequence, or the notes only. These playlists only work in Windows Media Player. For the playlists to work, the files must be extracted to the same directory as the rest of the class.
iPad and iPhone users: Safari by default cannot open .ZIP files so you will need to download the free WinZip utility from the iTunes store in order to decompress and play your downloaded files.
We regret that we cannot issue refunds for digital products because of incompatiblity issues with your specific device. It is the buyer's responsibility to check that their device can both decompress .ZIP files and play .MP4 videos correctly. Please read our full Terms and Conditions before placing your order.
