Gmail unfortunately seems to have decided that our order confirmation email should be marked as spam. Despite trying several changes to our email templates and even contacting Google about this issue, we have been unable to resolve it.
Therefore if you are a Gmail (and in some cases Hotmail) customer, it’s likely that any communication from our store will end up in Gmail’s spam folder:
This will include any links that we send you to purchased downloadable content. While you should be able to retrieve the messages by going into your spam folder, in order to avoid this problem in future (and perhaps encourage Gmail to finally remove us from their blacklist…) we would ask that you add a whitelist filter for our address sales@danceonline.co.uk by following these steps:
– Log into Gmail
– Click the Settings link (gear icon on the top right / Settings)
– Click Filters and Blocked Addresses / Create a new filter
– Type sales@danceonline.co.uk into the top field and click “Create filter with this search”
– Finally, tick “Never send it to Spam and click “Create Filter”.
That’s it: now you will always receive our messages. Please note that existing emails marked as spam will not be moved into your inbox, so you will need to mark them as “not spam” manually.
